Utilize custom fields to communicate more specifically to your customers. Custom fields are available on Choice and above plans. Examples of custom fields:
  • past due balance amount
  • pet name
  • service provided
  • account number
  • birthday
  • VIN number
To utilize custom fields, first reach out to Captivated Support and let them know what to title the custom fields. Our team will add the custom merge fields on the back end. Once that is done, we will provide you the merge field to add to your CSV file. The merge field will be within double curly brackets ({{pet_name}}, {{vin_number}}, etc.). Then, create a CSV file to import into Captivated. The minimum amount of information needed would be first name, last name, mobile number, and custom field. To learn more on importing a CSV into Captivated, check out this page. Your custom field column will be the merge field you will use in your templates. Once you have imported your CSV into Captivated, you can create/modify your templates to utilize these custom fields. First, navigate to the templates section in Captivated, hit “add”, then click on “merge fields” in the top right and scroll to the bottom to locate the merge field you’d like to use in your template.
